Drake Halts Brooklyn Concert After Fan Throws Vape Onstage
In a recent incident during his “It’s All a Blur” tour, Grammy-winning rapper Drake was forced to pause his performance at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York, when a fan threw a vape onto the stage. The unexpected event was captured in a video that has since gone viral on social media platforms.
The video, which was posted on TikTok, shows Drake addressing the crowd, asking, “Did you throw a vape over here? Come on. Who threw this? Who threw the vape?” The rapper was visibly displeased with the fan’s actions, urging them to take life more seriously.
“There’s no way you’re taking life seriously if you think I’m gonna pick this vape up and vape with you at the f–king Barclays Center. You’ve got some real-life evaluating to do,” Drake passionately stated. He then kicked the vape around the stage before eventually picking it up and revealing to the audience that it was a “lemon mint” flavored electronic cigarette.
The incident has since sparked mixed reactions from fans, with some supporting Drake’s stance while others were left bewildered. This is not the first time the Canadian rapper has had objects thrown at him during his performances. On the opening night of his tour in Chicago on July 5, a fan threw a cell phone at Drake while he was performing. Despite being hit on the arm, the artist remained unfazed and continued his performance.
